Financial management

We consider the disclosure of our financial behaviour to be an essential part of our ethical commitment and our strong sense of responsibility towards our members and the general public. We voluntarily decide not only to make subsidies or donations from public and non-public sources transparent, but also to disclose our processes and decisions openly.

It is important for us to emphasize that Financial transparency alone cannot or will not solve the complex challenges in healthcare.

In particular, patient organizations run with integrity are not able to cope with this challenge on their own. These topics are influenced by numerous factors and require an in-depth understanding of the healthcare landscape, all stakeholders, legal expertise as well as integrity and competent leaders on the board of patient organizations. We are therefore not only committed to financial openness, but also to an independent and competent management of our organization.

We recognize that true change can only come from the commitment, integrity, and expertise of our board members. We remain determined to achieve a positive and sustainable impact in the self-help landscape on this basis.

In recent years, it has been shown that sustainable independence can only be achieved through independent financing.

In order to protect us from content expectations, integration and structural dependencies, a rethinking was necessary.

The Urticaria Association is therefore financed today from membership fees, private donations, donations and self-generated income, through workshops and lectures.

With this reorientation, we are taking a new path from 2026.

This development is necessary in order to maintain the work of the association in the long term, to be able to shape the content freely and to continue to be for those affected, even those who can no longer afford medical care.

Any person who supports our work – whether by participating in workshops, booking lectures or other contributions – helps to ensure this independence.
