Running a self-help organization for many years is anything but easy. We have seen how high expectations of self-help are, often without an awareness of what this work actually means. This reality has forced us to rethink our structures and boundaries.
These experiences have made it clear to us that self-help needs new, sustainable structures.
2018 - Founding
Foundation of the Urticaria Association.
2018 – Incendi Magazine
Incendi has created its own format to make experiences, developments and perspectives independently visible.
2019 – Development of advisory centre
Start of independent consultation and support for those affected.
2019 - Establishment of an independent Ethics Council
Creation of a body to ensure independence and ethical orientation.
2021 – First independent data collection
Conduct your own survey to better classify experiences and trajectories.
2024-2025 – Break and crisis
The years were marked by massive challenges.
Increasing stress, health restrictions in the team, economic developments and increasing structural problems.
At times it was unclear whether the association could continue in this form.
2025 – Development of Incendi
Content reorientation and expansion to include topics such as digitization, structural relationships in the healthcare system.
2025 - Development of SH 2.0
Start working on a model for independent, transparent and sustainable self-help structures.
2026 - Restructuring
Restructuring of the association in response to crises, transformation in the healthcare system, increasing digitization, changing framework conditions and the current funding conditions.
